Anyone going to the Mt Baw Baw sprint? I've entered in the touring section. Be a good intro for me as I've no experience with this scene. Be good to meet anyone on here if you're going too.

Cheers

Looks like Brendo's been promoted to RX8? and Simon Evan is in showroom! Either way majorly tough competition!

Just looking forward to putting last year behind me and getting back in the silly seat! Might even go do that Cradle Coast rally for a bit of fun.

Yeah I heard Brendo's in the Ssssscrotor, I'm watching with interest to see how the lad goes.

Anyone know what the weather is gonna do the Wrest Point?

Got any hot predictions? There's a few new cars debuting I think? I'm keen to see how Edie goes in the Emo in EM, he's got Wilfred sitting beside him.

And Nick, I'm not going mate, but SURELY someone from here is?! What's Snowballs doing, is he scared of that R35 or something? :P

Tony Warren, Matt Rickards 1/2 for Em is my prediction.

Top 5 will be hard to call though, Ayers, O'keefe, Hendy will all no doubt give it a good shake. The bloke in the porka from High country is running I hear, think he might find it a bit tougher on our goat tracks compared to the Victorian roads.

He has Benny. Why aren't you running FFS, it's just down the road!

And Strong-man, who's the dude in the Porsche you're referring to? And who wants to go halves in a 996 Turbo to smack 'em all senseless? Timmy? :pirate:

What compound? I have driven a car with what I was told were PFC01s and I loved them. Really, really nice. I grabbed some PFC06 which are meant to be the Endurance spec PFC01 with a little less bite but far kinder on rotors and I simply found them WAAAAY too bitey and was forever locking brakes :( Was a tad gutted

Looks like i have the 01 "Race Compound" which i take it are the PFC01s (SKU 7793.01.18.44). Sounds like they should do the job then! Have only done roughly 100kms on them so far with no track time, they do feel rather powerful from cold though..

Warren is entered in Modern according to the TWP site.

Benny: Not running cause the engine is stripped and getting machined atm, $$$$$$$$$$$$, and the roads don't interest me. Dad is running his slobaru though

High country front runners don't often translate into front runners in Tassie (unless they have had previos experience)

The snoozer that took out Em mate, although I heard that car requires quite a bit of love to make it eligible this time round.

What about yourself Scotty? Is the car comign together? Hope you got the rim setup to work. You should be there or thereabouts... But I dont want to encourage you. Just stay away from the trees mate and keep the new improved TME nice and shiny. I find a pic of the aftermath of a crash stashed somewhere handly is a nice way to settle the red mist should it decend.

Best of luck to all those having a crack. Seems like another life when I was actually lingin up for these events. :(

Don't take any notice of the website, my car is being prepped at his workshop and I can assure you the 9 won't be making another appearance with him behind the wheel.

Think we are on a winner thanks Blaise, bit of fine tuning happening at the moment mate and by all reports it looks like it will be successful. Just got to put a new clutch in next week and a quick test at the track, then we should be good to go.

Have a bit more power and hopefully a bit more grip than last time, if we can run similar times to last event I will be stoked....although the off is still fresh in my mind (and wallet) so I will be keeping the limits in check! :)

My money is on 2 white RS Evo 7's being 1/2.

Reliability is the only thing that has kept Matt off the podium, quite sure that won't be an issue for him this event.

I thought he was only promoted while Glenney's licence was being held hostage

Whats the story there?

Who is this Turnbull snoozer and how can you have a gap of 3:00 at the front of EM against regular competitors in hitlers 'peoples car'?

    • 100% accurate!  We are a pack of know it alls....  But, I bet people go to you when they have a problem! I've been on a bit of a clean up rampage too over the past month!  I've thrown more shit in the bin over the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years combined! Anyway, it's all good fun being different! My wife sometimes does not agree!
    • ADHD in all form isn't about "can focus, or can't focus" or is hyper active or isn't etc.   It's all a dysregulation. Either time feels to be stationary, or time just vanishes in a split second. We are either under focussed on the task at hand (as we're over focussed on our surroundings) or we have no idea an atomic bomb went off beside us as we're so hyper focussed and locked in on things.   Not to mention the rapid fire thought process. What it takes a "normal" process to think up a solution to a problem, ADHD will be able to give you 5 different ways to solve the problem, and the pros and cons of each. While we can be highly impulsive and lack the ability to "control ourselves" we can also become paralysed with the inability to make a decision for ourselves. While most of us have an OCD like requirement for perfection, we lack the ability often to remain focussed to get things to a perfect state. Those with undiagnosed ADHD as adults, can often find the last part actually stops them ever attempting to do things that they have the ability to do, as the reasoning is often "if I can't do it perfectly, it's not worth doing"   As for projects... Ha ha ha, I still need to take the other half of my wall trim down in the Fiance's office so I can paint it. Need to finish digging and running the back yard drains, my R33, getting the Ninja bike registered (now being sold), the moped project, fixing either of the lawn mowers so they're reliable, along with a myriad of other things.   It's why I've been going through lately and just being brutal and clearing projects off that I won't actually ever complete. IE, moped will go to the tip, or be given away, bike is being sold, Subaru project being sold, some parts for other projects given away. Or I've been making myself focus on one thing at a time, by ticking off the smallest quickest ones first.   There's also a reason by our mid twenties we seem to be "know it alls", as we've all been down some of the weirdest and oddest rabbit holes when you follow the dopamine trail. It's often also why we're more a jack of all trades, but not a master of one.   However, pretty much all of my hobby projects, in one way or another, all come back around to automotive. That's my zen area.
    • Remember reading about this not too long ago. been for sale for a long time  this is like when the wife says you need to sell the car so you put it up for a ridiculous price no one will pay
    • You are perhaps suggesting that it is not a super car? Well....it's not an AU.
    • Dropped the MX5 of this morning to get the hardtop colour matched and some PDR done, they are also going to give it a buff to remove some "stubborn" swirl marks and light scratches in the clear coat Over the last few months the poor little thing has copped some shopping centre car park abuse, I try to not park in them, but hitting Westfield's a few times over the last few months has taken its toll, nothing really bad, but enough of a trigger for a "while we're in there" thingie  Once it's back and all the one colour, with a few dents and mark's removed I'll give some of these products a go and see what they're like
