So big single turbo, E85, free computers, etc etc etc is "stock" is it? You're allowed all of that and more in Early Modern. So go and have a crack and don't let fear hold you back.

New regs have come out in the last few days. EM is only up to 2002 again and no more single turbos for twin systems. E85 stays though. High country will be the last event run under the current ones.

Last chance to beat me at high country Fatz

Have you read the rules Bazil? F-all has changed for EM and you can definately still have big singles for both GTR and RX7......

Link for those who want to read them;

M26. Turbo Chargers

Turbo chargers from succeeding models may be used up to the Early Modern cut-off date of 31 December

2006. Housings must be the original and remain identifiable as such. Internal components and dimensions

may be modified.

sounds like bigger turbos in stock houssings

eg all though dudes running dash 5s dont have to change their shit even though they were production spec previously?

You are reading the regs for MODERN. You need to read the regs for Early Modern ;)

For some reason it's not letting me copy/paste it.

Refer page 30, Section M9 Twin Turbo Systems.

Specifically lists 32/33/34 GTR and '92 - '02 RX7's.

Your reading the 2015 regs, not the 2016+

That whole section is now gone. As Ben said read M9 in the new rules

Merp, I see that now. Must have scrolled past it a dozen times.

cant find someone dumb enough to sit next to me

no idea why, its not like i am snowplow who crashes everytime he looks at a car

lol

I’ll co drive for you Pete- my life insurance is paid up & valid for rallies (suckers!)

Excellent.

I'm a bit all over the shop with far too many projects going on. If I decide to go I'd be disappointed if I could spend the time to do it justice in the leadup. Hence I'm even considering the idea of leasing a car instead of readying my own (which just sits in the garage these days).

Is that your way of saying you are waiting for another 0 car drive?

Not at all mate :)

It's been too long since I competed and I'd dearly love to return! I'd need to convince Timmay to sit beside me again if I was to complete the dream :)

    • Oh wow, it's easy to forget how cheap these can be. Probably the cheapest way to travel. Though people in cars here tend to be morons and I would not feel very safe. Were scooters ever big in Australia? It used to be the thing growing up in Europe ~20 years ago. 50/70/125ccm Peugeot or Yamaha and some others. Utterly obnoxious Polini race exhausts. Kick stands that slant as much as possible. So loud. So much noise for really not moving very fast at all. But it felt cool at the time. Not sure where I'm going with this, but there is an aftermarket for mopeds! Though I'd have pictured you more for a Goldwing kind of guy after growing out of the Harley.
    • You need to know I am sorry for this.
    • As the MX5 isn't apparently "manly" enough, and I need something for runs to the local shops, and also take to my part time job at the salon, basically I can keep the MX5 away from car parks and stuff......like "flying lockers", I was wondering what I could buy to fix this issue LOL, I pick up a new Yamaha 125 Delight this arvo from Trooper Lu, basically a R1 that you can fit a slab of beer on between your feet, also, it was $29400 cheaper than a R1, so actually it's 2 x better than a R1
    • Nah. H2S. H2S is "rotten egg gas", which is what is associated with no cat. SO2 is equally nasty, and if you've ever smelt it you'll know all about it. More of a choking, acid in the back of the throat sort of thing. But you can only smell it in a narrow range up to about 1ppm. Above that, it irritates your mucous membranes, but you don't smell it.
    • Kicked the 34 in the guts, she won’t be seeing the road till I get the 31 mobile again.  wont be long and she’s a bit of a garage princess anyway haha
