They are MCA's.

He's been quite tricky with the design of the rear shocks too since he was worried about space. I'm not sure if he is doing the same with the R32 GTST boys versions, but he's built the remote canister into the rear shock housing which is the same as he does apparently for the Showroom EMO's (even though I thought remotes were against the rules in Showroom!! LOL) But other than the weld you can't really tell it has one.

But it's impressive stuff to look at. Now I just have to get it in there and see if my spring settings etc are all going to work.

still waiting for an email from ben to see the mca options.

they arn't really remote are they, as the canister looks to be part of the shock body. Is there much loss of travel? Why didn't you want the canisters in the boot? i thought it would have been more accesable. Or is the R34 boot to small?

Yeah I'll put "Get a CAMS License" on the to-do list for next year. But it's just been pointless me having one until now. I don't need it for the car rego and I haven't had any events I could do until now with one so there's been no reason.

Although knowing my luck I'll go get the damn thing and then these "Targa Class" events won't be on anymore.

Entrants list for the targa race (24 cars):

Greg Garwood Porsche RS GT3

Les Walkden Subaru STI Spec "C"

Oh and Ben M is just being a soft C*#k. he needs to borrow Snowmans Penis pump.

On the to-do list just before "Get a CAMS License" is "Work out which CAMS license I need to get"

:(

haha

what event are you doing that needs a CAMS licence? Are you looking at ever doing door to door racing?

What AASA licence do you currently hold?

Only reason why I am asking all these questions is...There is a way to get your CC, NR or NC licence without having to go on your P's if that's the way you are needing to go..

It's for the Targa Class racing, ie, Symmons Plains a couple of months ago and Upcoming event at P.I. for the V8 Supercar support race.

Oh awesome!

Probably need a National Circuit for the PI race..Not sure Clubman Circuit would be high enough...

What? You can do PI Invitationals with an L2S?? No fricken way surely!! I have one of those! LOL

I presumed you'd need a National Racing License minimum (which now seems to be much easier to get apparently than it once was).

Jess I have the AASA National Rally License - which comes free in every Kelloggs box @ Targa :( But no good for any of the CAMS tracks.

No Way Marlin...L2S :(

Link of entry form????

Snowy,Cause you have done so many events including targa you should be able to use that as recognisable experience to just apply for your Racing Circuit Licence..

Or you would have to go on your P's do so many events, be a good boy and get so many events signed off plus officialing at an event so you know your flags and stuff...

Should ring CAMS and see if you are eligable for Competitor Dispensation....

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
