LOL, I admit I hated V35 look when it first come out. the new styling is just not to everyone's taste.

But after a while it could grow on you depending which direction your taste adapted through times.

you should try working on both. they are QUITE different to work on.

I know that. I didn't say Goshn draw the shapes / design himself.

but if Goshn didn't become Nissan's boss, I believe the design direction of current Nissan models will be different than what we have now....

i dont like it either.

if i had $60K to spend i would take the lexus is250 anyday.After test driving that i was blown away.(even though its just an expensive toyota!)

the value for money is just not there with the newer v series.end of story

True, although Ghosn did pull Nissan out of the sh*tfight it was in, so they're lucky they still have current nissan models to sell

I dont know where you getting the Hyundai S- coupe looks from ? It looks nothing like a Hyundai S-coupe its a class above the Hyundai sports coupe.

i was lucky enough to drive one the other day with trade plates, GT370 S (non leather) otherwise same as the GT370SP , was awesome to drive, auto, paddle shift gears and plenty of power. Reverse camera worked but only the am band seemed to pick up signal, never tried the sat nav but no doubt wont work here as it stands and cant be ripped out as it a integral part of the dash layout.Rear seating was good as long as your under 5'.11" . Finish was outstanding except for the odd chrome strip on the rear.Engine was push start and finger push on locking and unlocking on doors (outside) the car whilst you had the remote key in your pocket. Will be a 47-50k landed comp. motor vehicle if you import yourself.

The Lexus IS250 is superb value - my parents picked up one of the limited edition X models recently and it is fully kitted out.

Personally, I would still take a 370GT coupe over the Lexus, but if I was in the 4-door market it would be a harder decision. Maybe if we got the IS350 I would change my mind, but it would cost heaps more.

thats easily fixed :dry: I know that there may be one over here in a bit. if so I'm probably going to end up with it for a bit.

So how far away are we talking here until available, as in even the import yards have a few shitters on display aswell on their lot.

It's either a v36 if it's not too far away, or buying a 260z with an rb motor conversion. Big difference i know :P

You cant compare a Lexus IS250 or BMW (exceptM's) to a Skyline. The Skyline has a more sophisticated and efficient 3.7Litre engine and out handles both of them. (EASILY)The Skyline weighs around 1.55 tonne- you can add at least 150kg to both the others, even though they smaller cars. The Skyline looks like a sports GT the others are at best luxury cruisers. (very common looking)

Not too sure about the 370GTs bootlid but somehow the back looks a bit more proportioned than my 05 350GT.

As for the Interior- I think it is streets ahead of anything else anywhere near its price range. The design philosophy of the aluminum inserts are based on rice paper blending brushed aluminium look which offset the dark interior looks sensational.

There is NO space in a IS250 lexus and little more in a 3 series.AND these are 4 Doors !!

THe 370 will be in the 45-48K by mid next year. I wouldn't look twice at BMW or Lexus or anything for twice the amount they ask for !! Sorry boys go the BMW or TOYOTA or f___ HYUNDAI or anything else if that takes your fancy NOT the Skyline page..

      It can't be some stupidly proprietary video signal coming out of it that only Nissan's can understand. Surely you can just find some generic camera to stuff in there and use hot melt glue/blu-tac/gaffer tape to hold it in place if need be?

      Update: Tunehouse looked into the problem and identified a wiring issue between the camera unit and the connector. They managed to get it working , but did warn me at some point it will stop working again. From their perspective it is unserviceable and will need replacement. They did some research and found that the new replacement camera would be Approx $1400 supply only (their fitting cost would be $190) . They did provide the part number (28442-JL05B) and a quick google of the part number shows that these are rather expensive brand new (seemingly no longer in manufacture) for the places that still have them in stock, with the used option potentially presenting  the same issue down the track at some unknown point. They are happy for me to supply the part so that they can fit it. Decisions, decisions... I can definitely recommend Tunehouse (thankyou Vee37!). Cost for the diagnosis was as quoted  ($190) , car was ready on time and communication was top notch. Their workshop is super clean and modern, and there was plenty of car candy parked out the front on the day I went.   Would definitely go back.

      to fix the voltage drop issue I swapped out the old 150amp alternator which turns out is a brand known for having issues and replaced it with the black 180amp alternator beside it

For the outdoor air sensor and sunlight sensor, disconnect the wiring connected to CN1-11 of the air conditioning harness from the harness and connect the sensor side wiring to earth. For the indoor air sensor, disconnect the wiring connected to CN2-3 of the air conditioning harness from the harness and connect the sensor side wiring to earth. The connector PIN numbers listed here are the genuine A31 PIN numbers. To avoid incorrect wiring, check with a tester before wiring. Also, disconnect the wiring in a location close to the sensor. The disconnected harness side wiring will not be used, so be sure to insulate it." Wish someone sold a conversion harness to just plug-and-play a Kouki 180sx digital climate control into C33/A31. I'm decent with wiring but feeling kinda lazy about taking this on.
