hey every one i was just wondering has any one experienced this problem. i got an r32 and it seems to idle high. it idle around 1700 rpm was just wondering would that be the idle air control motor faulty because i am aware of the idle set screw on the housing of the iac however ive screwed it down and the best idle i can get is around 1700rpm. with the idle air control disconnected i can get a more appropriate idle going however it wants to stall on me at times. was just wondering has anyone had a simular problem and found it to be the iac or is there a learn function on the skyline to setup the idle?

i read in a recent thread on here that a dodgey tps will make the ecu default to a 1500rev idle?

are you sure you have wound the adjusting screw far enough in? mine was siezed & it wasnt till i undid it all the way out, sprayed wd40 on it that i could actually wind it in far enough to get a 600rev idle

mines defenetly not siezed. i removed the iac before it seemed really blocked up with carbon so yeh. i cleaned it out with throttle body cleaner and fitted made no difference. a dodgy tps would give you flat spots wouldnt it? i dont seem to have that problem but its something worth lookign at
