Is there anyway possible to get an r34 GTR into rwd mode to do a burnout then back into 4wd without doing damage? . I know they are a differen't animal to the 32 where this can be done but everything I've read says that it's a no go in the 34 without dropping the shafts . Thing is I've seen a few jap video's in which 33,34 GTR were performing burnouts . Does the difference come down to the attessa can this be swapped with a 32 , or is it more mechanical?.

on another note, just coz i'd like to know but why are you wanting to go RWD on a gtr?

is it for drift? if so then know that the added weight from the front diff and such make it a bit touchy.

If you only want rwd sometimes go for the torque split controller.. i've also heard about taking out a fuse in earlier models and havn't heard it to be harmfull yet.

he says so in the first line of his post.

And no, a torque splitter wont work. Overtime you will damage the case

The RIPS Drag-R R34 GTR has done this, but I believe that they disengage it via a hydraulic switch? The car was built in NZ for a UK customer using RIPS's reknowned RB26/30 combination. See www.gtr.co.uk forum
