My Speedo Stoped Working Wtf

went for a drive/drifting and i didnt notice untill i got home that my speedo isnt working wtf....all the other gauges are working fuel, temp, etc just not the speedo and reves and kms....i wanna check the wiring but i have no idea were its located please help i have a r32 gts-t 1992 skyline. also my steering is tighter and hicas light comes on now....wired

Cable probably broke. This is a typical problem as the R31 R33 and R34's use electrical speedo sensors and the r32 runs a speedo cable from gearbox to the back of your dash.

Hicas uses your speedo as a reference for when to switch solenoids for rear wheel steer and power steering weighting.

No speedo drive, hicas thinks theres a fault so throws the light.

yep. your speedo cable is broken or the square drive pin is rounded off. they are around $100 from nissan (when i did the one on my 32 about a year ago).

yeah i just found a thread on it dammm 100 i thought i could just rewire it lol but i could get a digital km unit for 100 and have better reading and its digital yo lol

no, you need the speedo cable to drive the factory gauge so the hicas ecu operates properly and your powersteering returns to normal.
