I've been looking around for some things for my car and am struggling to find decent retailers that have aftermarket parts for imports.

I've found a few in the eastern suburbs, but I'm from the west so I don't wanna travel to the other side of the city everytime i wanna check something out...

Anyone know any good retailers in western suburbs or round the city? Cheers.

it honestly depends on what your after buddy.

but heres a good starting point

http://www.nengun.com/

http://www.greenline.jp

both are very trust worthy and both i have used with no hassles.

it would help if you told us exactly what your after though

Just a shop that has general aftermarket stuff... rims, exhausts, body kits.... cosmetic or engine... anything aftermarket for imports

Yeah i want shops/showrooms dont really trust buyin stuff on the net....

Edited by Jack-

if u dont trust buying stuff on the net, then unfortuneately your doomed.

no one has this stuff inhouse. its all on order when you put money down.

you want JDM rims? no chance in hell your gonna find decent wheels on shelf

u want chrome and sex spec shit? tyre factory is ur place.

exhausts? again same shit no one keeps this stuff on shelf. they might have em in stock at the warehouse somewhere but fat chance youll see it. and no one trial fits exhausts. you buy ur model exhaust pay the money and they put it on. unless your going custom which i doubt u are

bodykits are the same. its all make to order and besides, they are all gonna look the same lying there on the floor unpainted. i bet if they do show you any sort of sample it will be print outs from the net

and the worse part is youll be paying sometimes 200-300bux more depending on what your buying.

in the JDM field........nothing is on shelf

trust me buddy.....ive bought wheels, bodykits, turbo kits, engine parts, exhausts, custom order parts. my whole car is pretty much off nengun, greenline or some sort of online site.

but if your happy to spend the extra money, ill have to hand it over to someone who lives on the west side, as im a easterner. i cant help you

i know they've got to order it in. i may be close, but im not retarded

I'd still like to go to a shop and talk to somebody in person though and put money down on it that way, rather than credit card or paypal over the net, if you get what i mean

totally understand buddy but i dont think you realise how things work these days.

no one pays with paypal or credit card......well ppl do but i believe everyone bank deposits though NetBank ect ect.

like i said your seriously paying ALOT if you go into a store.....and they prob wont be able to get half the stuff you ask for, and if they do they charge 200% because its a one off order....

hope im not sounding like a dickhead here jack, i was once in ur poisition and wish someone told me how things worked rather then taking trips down to woop woop to have a look at some rims that i could of paid half the price of online.

trust me buddy if you buy from regulars, its completely safe.

but like i said, if you REALLY REALLY wanna go into a showroom/shop.....i hope u find wat ur lookn for =D

just curious though, wats something you are defiantly 100% lookn at buying? ill see if i can help you out. my local autobarn stocks alot of JDM parts and im sure there should be a local autobarn near u. i can get them to send it over if you want.

let me know buddy, ill try hook u up

Go to access autoworks in Vermont, they have heaps of stuff in house but its in the eastern subs. 9 Trade place, Vermont. As R34NRG say's you'll pay more but at least you can see what you're buying. I got a Tomei exhaust cam gear from them for 200 I'm sure I could of bought the same thing off the net for about 120/140 bucks but I cbf waiting lol. Good luck.

Cheers,

Evan

Yeah , Access Auto are good but exactly they can charge certain items higher than online stores prices i.e Apexi AVC-R around $800 from them or $550 online from traders elsewhere.

Having said that, i did purchase my rims from Access Auto and im very pleased with price and service, im probably going to purchase my Bride seats from them as well.

Umm...what? Andru, there's heaps of stores around with stuff onshelf...and i don't know about paying 200% more or whatever for one off order...yeah true, they might not have what ur looking for at the time but its never hard to order anything in. the advantage of walking into a showroom like Jack is asking about is, most only require some kind of deposit before they order in (at least in my experience, anyway)...and the added security or them less likely to be able to just pack up their business if they wanted and leave with ur money like u hear so much about internet scammers doing lately. Plus as Jack mentioned before...it's always nice to be able to talk to someone about particular parts in person rather than thru constant emails, etc.

RE Customs, Motorware and Access Autoworks in particular are great places to start. Unfortunately for you, Jack, these are all on the eastside. I'm sure i know of a few around ur area, and if someone doesn't beat me to it, i'll look them up for you and post up what i've found :D

Go to Rampant Performance/Import Monster in Ringwood - heaps of JDM parts there! Was there yesterday, heaps of R34 GTR wheels, Works, Volks, SSRs, halfcuts, transmission, a whole mountain of exhausts, recaros/brides, Aristos, couple of RB26 crate engines. Aaron's going on holidays tomorrow but will be back in a couple of weeks, in the meantime ask for Arch or Daniel who'll be there in the meantime.

Yeah I know Ringwood's not out west, maybe you should move eastside? :D Moving house nowadays is cheaper than driving across the city!

totally understand buddy but i dont think you realise how things work these days.

I don't think YOU realise how things work. People post alot of shit on forums but I reckon you take the cake. There are plenty of places around Melbourne that stock JDM parts. Not sure about ones in the western suburbs though, most of them are in the east. Fair enough alot of the time it is cheaper to buy online but if you wanna buy it from a shop there's absolutley no reason you can't.

Access is excellent for new stuff, Rampant for 2nd hand, Powerflow stock most common injectors, onautos can get pretty much anything at very good prices, most autobarns can order in a wide variety of jap parts but they are expensive. If you have a look in the traders section you'll find some others around Aus as well which are all fairly big stores/business's.

There is also RMS Motorparts in Mitcham, who are also a site sponsor. I bought my Tein coilovers and Tomei Cams from Henry, he is a great guy to deal with.

Andru, who is saying that he WILL buy from the store? He may just want to check something out, then buy it from a reputable online business.

Oh, and Nengun and Greenline are a ripoff compared to some prices I can get :D

So are you just gonna sit there and brag about the prices you can get mate, or u gonna share the love? :D

(mates rates don't count, either...) :D ...unless of course, you can share the mates rates with us also...?

In all honesty - Forum Traders.

Generally as cheap as its gonna get for parts here in Aust, or brought in from Japan and dealing with a local face that generally is around the same price as nengun and so on, maybe a tad more but who cares when your supporting local business

I've had dealings with

RMS

Rampant & Import Monster

Happy with them 110%.

dnot take any offence there kyle but stfu and gtfo.

your gonna sit there and say that the chances are with you that you walk into a store and ask for a JDM part....that they will 100% have them stocked on the shelf right there right now?

you can walk into any shop, chances are they gotta order it. they MIGHT have them in STOCK (doubful) but defiently unlikely to be on shelf. they might have to take a few days to order it. they might have to drive down to the warehouse.

i dont give a shit wat you say im telling you the odds are against you when it comes to ordering JDM parts.

man u got some nerve telln me i talk shit.

id challange anyone here to find a store that would stock an entire catalog of parts for one specific car. you wanna know why no one will find one? its because its f*kn stupid to have every single item in stock, because nigga you's a window shopper, In the jewelry store lookin' at shit you can't buy.

i aint arguing bout this any further. when it comes to anything on the market. RETAIL STORES ARE USALLY ALWAYS MORE EXPENSIVE.

yeh u got me there, i dont know if he wants to buy but my whole argument is based on if he is actually serious about buying.

and quit hogging the prices you can get.

info or ban mofo lol :P

I think I will check this place out in ringwood tomorrow. need a Cat back exhaust

let me know what they quote u on, id be damned if they have them on shelf and even more damned if they can beat the prices i can find.

f*k im pumped up......... i just got back from the new batman movie......man dat shit was off the hook lol
