So a couple of days ago, I took my car (32 gts-t) for a wheel alignment, and all results came back pretty much as expected except for one particular thing. The front camber on the lefthand side front is at -1°37', but the camber on the righthand side is at -0°52'. This is something on the order of 0.7 degrees difference between the two sides.

The first thing I did was check the ride height on either side, and it was even to within 1mm, the rear camber is approximately even at about -2°10' either side. Yes, I'm aware that my car is too low, but my adjustable coil overs refuse to adjust, and they're quite old, so I plan to replace them once I have the money for the Bilstein/Whiteline kit from the group buy.

Another thing that struck me was that the kingpin inclination on the left is +13°12', but on the right it is +12°14'. What exactly is the kingpin inclination? I also have more steering lock in one direction than the other, could this be the cause? The probable cause of all of this is a front end impact that was severe enough to require the replacement of the factory side mount, which I unfortunately didn't find out about until a few months after I bought the car (incidentally this is how I found out that RAA inspections are useless).

So my question is: What needs to be done to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

To fix the camber just have the righthand side brought up to -1 37 or so.

I *think* this will also bring in the KPI as shortening the upper control arm to bring more camber in will cause the kingpin to lay back more. The kingpin is the upright bit that joins the lower and upper control arms (well it joins the upper and lower pieces, has bearings to allow these pieces to rotate with respect to each other, at least). I'm not describing it well - Google for it...

KPI is the angle of the steering axis when looking at the car front on. Kinda like caster, but looking from a different angle. The KPI will increase at the same rate as your camber when this is corrected, which will put it close to where it should be, will only be off by around 0.15deg.

I should also mention that the numbers of the wheel alignment, don't go up to 100, they only got up to 60, so the front left has 3/4deg more camber than the front right. The extra camber on the front left isn't a horribly bad thing either, it also helps the natural pull towards the gutter due the camber of the road. It's not ideal (and should be done with caster), but it's not the end of the world either.
