well what a great day, finally picked up my Cefiro from the docks with suprisingly everything still there, no missing bits. After finally getting it back to Mayhems and going over it we have found starting with obvious:

Started life as an Auto, most likely rb20de, had an R32 gts-t engine/gearbox.

Front lip

Bee-R cat back exhaust

5 stud conversion up front with r32 gt-r rims

4 spot R32 gts-t brakes

HKS Pod filter

Field EBC with hand controller(stage 1, 2 and Man buttons)

some obscure TT

Cusco strut brace

Cusco adjustable camber tops

Momo steering wheel

Tomei boost gauge

coil overs(unknown make, maybe sum1 can identify)

not so easy to see mods:

RG brake pads

a/m clutch(not an on/off button style but very weighty)

mechanical diff(very tight chatter almost on every corner)

ARC(we think) Intercooler in factory location(was a pleasant suprise to find this)

bout it for now will keep updated on the happenings. brief video of it running and new pics can be found at:

    • If it's reading full rich prior to a misfire that gives one directional hint, if it's already reading lean, etc. If it's reading pretty cleanly stoichiometric then suddenly drops out from a misfire that suggests it's not air mass estimation that's the problem. Could be ignition, could be something more subtle. Could be the CAS has decided to start dropping out at random or the drive pin is worn leading to excessive lash and trigger errors. LTFT can tell you the same but it's slower to react and if this is a recent issue it might not have stabilized. STFT stuck in one direction vs fluctuating back and forth can be used instead but I like to read O2 voltages anyways and interpret directly. If the O2 voltages make no sense in general or are super slow to react it could also be a failing O2 sensor. There's no real error correction for failing O2 sensors in these cars.
    • How will O2 sensor voltages help to identify it when it is sputtering?
    • What do LTFTs look like? What do MAF voltages look like? O2 sensor voltages/AFRs? Knowing O2 voltages especially when it sputters would help a lot.
    • Isn't this what everyone immediately sees in their mind's eye when someone gives them a total width number and an offset?
    • It won't be this - not while it's driving, anyway.
