R33 Fuel Pump!!!

Guys,

It may seem to be a silly question, as i havnt been bothered to check (lazy), but is the fuel pump in the R33 gts-t an internal tank pump of is it mounted outside the tank?

I am looking at putting a larger fuel pump in but am unsure whether it is an internal or external one. Please help!!!

Also what pump it the optimum one?

It's an internal pump. You can mount bigger pumps either internal or external depending on which one it is.

Bosch 044's pump alot of fuel, but unless you have 500hp not necessary.

Something like the Bosch 910, about $200 is more than enough for most. Can be mounted either internal or external.

You can also buy a surge tank which will keep the original internal pump but use an external pump on the surge tank. Keep in mind that this will be quite loud from the cabin, which is the main reason I didn't take this option.

The beauty of Bosch pumps is that most can be mounted internal or external, so once you take one course of action you can change it around later (to/from surge tank to internal tank for example).

Even if they are in-tank though they can still be quite noisey, that's the price you have to pay for extra fuel:(

What about using a GTR pump? How much more do they flow and are they any noisier?
