i don't think there should be restrictors in there as they would lower the fuel pressure.

there shouldn't be a boost solenoid in that line. if it is an EBC the map sensor can go on that hose, but not the solenoid. that should be on the line to the wastegate.

yep, that one is the factory boost restrictor. why do you want to remove it?

it wont get you higher boost. its there to regulate the pressure, so you dont get spikes. if you were to replace that restrictor with a more restrictive one, that would get you higher boost. ppl call them boost jets.

if you're running a boost controller, then you should remove it, otherwise leave it.

Interesting Munkyb0y...

I would have thought you'd get an extra 0.1 - 0.2 Bar or so...

I was thinking about doing this on my GTR but I questioned it to my mechanic and he said don't do it either. "No such thing as cheap Horse Power" as he believes.

When you say "to regulate the pressure, so you dont get spikes", is that also to stop the car from 'over boosting' itself? And save your turbo(s) from blowing up?

Thats just what i read on antoher topic on the forum that it will increase boost, so I wanted to try.

no it wont overboost, the solenoid controls that

it just makes the boost more linear, rather than surging.

if you think about it, a boost jet, which is a restrictor, placed in that line will hide some of the pressure from the wastegate, and allow the wastegate to stay closed longer, therefore reaching higher boost.

so removing this restrictor wont increase your boost.

edit: this is all useless with the stock boost solenoid, because that controls the boost in the end.

I too have heard about that and my have posted in that thread, cuz I read there is Boost restricter in the hoses. Its like a small cylinder that you can squeeze out then plug the hose back in.

I read that the hose has a small yellow marking, indicating that there is the restrictor and when removed, you can have a Safe Factory Boost increase. But I have not found any solid evidance of this and Iam not willing to try it.

try it. just replace that restricted hose with a regular silicone hose. see what happens. who knows, i might be wrong. but i'm fairly sure max boost wont change while youre using the stock solenoid. btw this is for R33. i'm not familiar with the r32 and gtr setup.

I see, that makes sense.

Best leave then. Thanks.
