Wedssport Wheels

Hey guys,

I'm after these specific brand of wheels. Only place that stock WedSport I could find is JJR but I don't particularly want to bother them since they'd be going through a pretty hectic time right about now. And even they don't have the model I'm after.

I've tried about 4 wheel shops in perth/rocko/mandurah. no one stocks them. Tried Tech9, Westcoast Wheels, West State, and some others.

Does anyone know who can source these? :D

Nar I'm not waiting 4 months minimum for Nengun to dispatch it. I want them for Motorvation. And I want my entry form in by early September before I leave for Jap-land.

It's cool though, Nigel of Black Sun is helping me find them. :D

what model?

i can get most rims; can get them in within 4-6days (big cost in shipping) or 4-8weeks (little cost, big shipping time)

i to have been looking for rims but im having difficulty finding anyone who imports them without taking a ridiculous commission... you say you can get most rims? can you if possible pm me how much you would charge to import:

(sets of 4 without tyres)

wed sport sa70's (18inch)

origin DNA 02's (17inch)

work xt7's (18inch)

i dont care how long shipping would take...prefer a lower cost

thanks

Yep the ones 'autoworx' posted is what I'm after.

SA-70 in Black Chrome 18". Thanks for making it discrete. lol. But PM if you can get me a price on them. :D

Got some spare Volk GTP's at home (which we're also selling), which I might put on for Motorvation submissions if I can't get these SA-70's in time.

Most of the money is here, people who know me know I don't time waste. :(

Yeah Nengun have it priced good. Thing is I need them within 2 months. I'll be on holiday late oct-november. Danny/Imports 101 has given me a decent price although I lose about $500-600 for being impatient. I might contact Nengun to see if they can keep their 'usually'14 day delivery though, which i doubt.

Well 2 months is 60 days ... you should be ok.

Why would you give anyone 600 dollars more for something your not overly in a rush for?

Yeah, but I just don't want Nengun being Nengun and sending it like 432483209 days later.

Quote from Nengun: "We do not keep wheels in stock, due to the manufacturing process it can take up to 2 months or more. In some cases 5 months for Rays wheels to be made up. Please take this into account before placing your order. After placing your order you are provided with a Automated shipment date. This time of arrival has no relation when concerning wheels."

Upon saying that, I will consider them still, just need to think about it.

Can someone help with the offset please? Would +36 or +42 be a better fit for r34 front with 8" width? And +20 or +32 for rear with 9"width? I know it's gonna have to be a tight fit.. I think +36 for front and +32 for the rear with 9" width but I want to be sure. Thanks. :)

This will give you an idea. Mine are 8.5+35 at the front and 9.5+35 at rear. They fit perfectly. Can't be bothered calculating the difference. If you're not sure how, let me know, and I'll figure it out

Ok.

Nengun - rather large company located directly in Japan with direct links to manufacturers.

How are these 5 people that pm'd you going to be able to source these rims any quicker if Wedsport have none in stock?

Suggestion - email nengun and ask for an ETA before you order.

    • Think I found another reason to buy the Q50 rather than the skyline import, seems that unless you get the 400r the other models such as the GT miss out on the decent brakes and don't have the flappy paddles on the steering wheel to change gears. Its my day off work today and the Q50 listed @ the dealer in Brisbane that I mentioned in my 1st post looks like it sold as its listed as no longer available... Would have checked it out but can understand why it sold as it was a bargain price.
    • omfg.... That shopping list game. I'd hoped I'd never see it again.
    • There are fixes for this. In industry we use compressed air for everything. It is frequently wet, and many things cannot tolerate it. So there are various forms of driers available that you can install. The simplest option for something like this would be a dessicant drier. Much cheaper to replace some silica gel than actuator cylinders.
    • That's a solid update mate, well done at WA FOS. You may already know this, but the actuators on the paddle shift are a service item and are sadly not that reliable. As I understand it they collect water from the compressor (condensation) which then rusts the bores/pistons in the actuators. A mate of mine had no end of trouble with them in one if his circuit cars, apparently it's a 'known issue'. Buy a couple of spares at great expense to ensure you never have any problems with the ones you've got! Any clues about what the new WTAC rules might be? While faster cars are cool the Pro class arms race has got to the point where you wouldn't even bother entering without a $1m budget and even then I don't think you'd win.

You can see another picture of it here: https://www.alltranz.com.au/shop/drivetrain/automatic-transmission/RE5R01A/product/9305/ The 4 speed automatic in the GTT is Nissan corporate stuff. You can search up similar jobs done on a Frontier or Pathfinder with a RE4R01B to get an idea for what the internals are going to look like and the procedure like this:
