Blitz Dual SBC or Apexi AVCR

What would you use on a GTR?

afaik blitz is a little more consistent as it uses 2 solenoids as apposed to one?

Anyone know of any comparisons done?

Well the AVCR is well proven

But then again all those i know who have the blitz unit are quite happy as well.... One friend gave me his AVCR when he fitted the Blitz unit and said the blitz unit was easier to setup....

But then thats easily stated as i helped him... HAHA

Id go the blitz is what i meant... easy to set up (for a no brainer) not to suggest that you are just no dyno time needed to set correctlly.... Just get a passanger who can control as u drive or get a trusted driver while u set up....

Tomorrow or the next day i will be testing blitz SBCid II. will let you know the results. currently running AVC-R.

id go for the blitz, dual solenoids allows more accurate boost control. and i think theyre a bit cheaper than the AVCR

my friend has a Blitz SBC - ID II in his 32GTR and the thing is awesome, allows alot of boost control, very reliable and like col-gtsx said super easy to set up. it has 4 channels 1 being lowest and 4 being highest, set them at what ever you want or have a co driver wind the boost up in the middle of a street drag (my job )

My blitz sbc was around the $650 mark. I think the avcr's are still up around $800+

yes, AVCR has much more features than Blitz... but if you buy optional harness and Power Meter BLitz will have more features. Today i will be comparing solenoids of Blitz and AVCR. Will let you know the results.

The blitz solenoid is alot better. Twice the size of the apexi unit. ALso allows 36psi boost and better boost response.

the Blitz Dual SBC and the Blitz SBC iD series is different i think...the latter has already gone up to version 3, SBC iD-III

ok. i've tested Blitz SBC iD-II on my car and it works MUCH better than AVCR. No boost spikes, handles boost much smoother and VERY EASY to install and to set it up. Just set desired boost and run, not like APEXi's stuff, where you have to play with RMP/Duty settings to get rid of spikes...

thanks guys, I ended up with the blitz, I've had one before with great results. It may not have the bells and whistles but most people say it is more consistent with boost control, and its much more discreet!

Does the Blitz SBC ID-II or the Blitz Dual SBC have the little boost gauge screen??

I have the dual sbc spec R, yes it has a little screen that displays peak boost or'boost guage' etc

both can display boost readings, except the SBC iD has a bigger screen, and it can display boost in a graphical chart or something...hook it up with the power meter id and you can set the boost to speed as well.
