R31 Ecu

A friend's R31 has been diagnosed by the local Nissan dealer as having a dead ECU.

The Australian company that made them went broke years ago, and Nissan can only suggest buying a second hand one from a wreckers to replace it.

The last time this happened to the car there was a place in Beresford Ave Bankstown that sold reconditioned ones on an exchange basis, but we're not sure if they are still operating.

Do any of you guys know where we could source one from?

Reconditioned would be good, before we go looking through wrecking yards, because if we get one from a wreck it may have it's own problems.

We're in Sydney, but even if we can get one from interstate, that would be fine.

It's pretty urgently required, as the car is the only method of transport available to get him to and from work.

It's the same engine as a VL Commodore - try a Holden dealer / wrecker.

if its the same as a vl commodore i have a manual rb30e ecu that i'm willing to get rid of.
