Hey Guys and Gals,

I was wiring up my jaycar temp switch and i was wandering if there was a way to use that to run the Thermo Fan? And i know it turns on about 91 degrees C. Is there anyway to change that as well?

you can buy thermo fans from Repco that have a built in adjustable temp switch.

I already got a thermo fan and a switch, but i was just hoping to utilise the "Over heating" switch. You know the one that turns on the front factory thermo.

use the power wire to the std overtemp thermo fan as a signal wire to another relay to run your thermos. but i very much doubt you could modify the switch position in any way.

perhaps the powerFCs laptop software has an option, but i havent looked at it.

Yes, all of us silly buggers with thermo fans have been down this route.

Tridon TFS141 is the most used switch, 85 on, 80 off.

I think it's too hot for a bottom tank install, but the Tridon range is a bit limited in the M16 x 1.5 size.

Champion also make identical switches, available from REPCO.

Haven't seen an option for controlling the thermo fan via Datalogit.

Engine driven fans FTW.

Onit, twas what I was hinting. Id try it this way, before spending more money.
