im having the same problem with my car. creaks when im stopped and turning. i dont think it happens at speed or over bumps but its really pissing me off :P is there no real solution to this besides a temporary fix ala lubricating the S%&t out of it?! maybe replace the bushes perhaps?

i just replaced every bush, new swaybars and suspension setup in my car and i have just developed a few new noises i think half of it might actully be from tightening up the car up?

however i am replacing the ajustible castor rods with white line ones as they are rose joint ajustiable and i personally think they are causing some of the creaking so see if that fixes some of the noises?

I have a creak coming from the passenger side upper control arm of my R32. The bushes were replaced a couple of years ago with Noltec bushes - I am guessing that the bushes need to be regreased. Is multipurpose automotive grease suitable or is there a specific grease that should be used? Thanks, Ben.

Changing to a silicon spray is a LOT better than WD40. RP7 and WD40 are full of organic solvent which is terrible for rubber and plastics. Use silicon spray (or lanolin).

And not on the brakes !

had the creaks and it was my upper control arm bushes too, fixed it recently by changing it to super pro bushes, but it developed a bit of squeak in only a few weeks time despite the fact that i've greased them properly. checked it and found that it was due to the bush rubbing against the chassis when it rotates. can't do anything about this one

oh well, at least this noise is quieter and doesnt happen as frequent, pretty much only when i drive out of the driveway

Hey guys, definitely giving an old thread a bump here!

Recently I've just installed brand-new coilovers in the daily, however, what I'm 99% sure is the front left hand side now has the widely reported 'creaking' coming from it, as though I was on a wooden ship. I'm sort of at a lose to determine exactly what is causing this. As I said, the coilovers are brand new. Initially I thought it may be the coils 'settling' as they've never had a load placed on them before, but it's been around a week now and it's still there. It also appears to be creaking regardless of where it's driven, with the exception of going up hill (although that may just be wishful thinking!)

Now in turns of suspension work already everything is fairly mild, and consists of:

Nismo Front Strut Brace

Cusco Rear Strunt Brace
Whiteline Front Heavy Duty Adjustable Sway Bar
Whiteline Rear Heavy Duty Sway Bar
Whiteline Rear Camber Kit
Tein Heavy Duty Tierod Ends

I'm not sure if during the installation of the coils, if something else could have been loosened? I'm fairly positive that it's all good.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated!

Lots of possibilities: Upper control arm bushes, bad suspension top bearing (if it's faulty) etc

Lowering the car excessively could cause the already worn bushes on upper control arm to rip and cause the arm to rub against the chassis, start from that first? What brand adjustable coilover is it?
