Hi guys I need some help in how to remove the rear tail light on a R33 skyline, I undid all the bolts ( I think) and I was trying to remove the plastic facere on the front but cant remove it.

As I have undid all the bolts the rear light should just full out right???

or do I have to remove the rear bumperand there might be some bolt under there to remove the taillight.

all this to drain out some water.........

HELP

yeah, as silverskyline said the centre skyline section is best removed! it has 4 nuts the can be removed from behind the boot latch, then it is push real hard (and even) to remove the light section which is held in with the black silicon (sikaflex) as used on windows. then only real way to get the water out would be to drain it out the clip for the indicator or reversing lights!!

be very hard to get the blinker section off, same issue with the front of the headights!!

then you'll have to clean up the light and body of the black silicon (takes a while) may need to get some from super cheap to replace this!! just make sure you dont get any on the body and light!!! will need thinners etc to clean this off, which is not good for your paint!!

good luck with it!!

nizmokid: dont hold me responsible should this not work or screw up yr lights in anyway...

just advice man and hv seen ppl do it work a treat too...

they took power drills...found the smallest f*ckin drill head on earth and just drilled a tiny little hole near the bottom. All water drained out, never had a flood inside again and never had the inside condense again..

:)

my 2c...

yeah cause to get the face plate of the lights off you have to takwe the lights out as the screws are between the covewr and the body of the car!!

so yeah, remove the whole unit to remove that plate, but dont think it will get much easier to get the indicator plate off. good luck with it though
