I entered the track day on the Saturday with my GT-R.

Wasn't a bad day, if the cars had been grouped more appropriately (ie into similar times/types of cars) it would have been a bit better

All the pics from the day are now up on www.fullboost.com.au

it was awesome! did the 33gtr beat you hypa? lol yeah i noticed i didnt see 1 sau sticker lol. Hypa i got soe pretty cool vids of you on the track on saturday, if you want i will upload to youtube or just email them if you like.. and i thought my car was loud.. wow lol yorus just hurts hahaha.

was really good though, only downside was the rain on the show and shine and being woken up sunday morning at 3.30am cause of a massive bar fight outside our hotel.

I reckon it was a load of shit unless you were an r31 driver.

trouble with it is that there's not much support from the "import" crew (well that'd be us)... lots of people see it as the "DOMESTIC Skyline Nationals", which kinda sucks for the organisers. they do try their best to get the word out and its not a badly organised event at all from memory when I went a couple of years ago.

Now if it was an import and domestic skyline nationals... well that would just be EPIC. Kinda like the Brits who managed to get 300 skylines into one place and on a track.

for the r32-r34 classes they had

no r32 class

modify r33. winner, no runner up

modify r34 winner and runner up

stock gtr winner, no runner up

modify gtr winner and runner up

all the rest were for the r31,s and they had a class for every model. eg series 1 and 2, svd, local, import. all had stock and modify classes

should have been called the r31 nationals

it more for the r31 guys, couple of 31's round my area have full back window stickers with skyline nationals or sum shit like that...

lol kinder funny see the stickers on claped out 31's..

i owned a r31 b4 my 32, but mine was rb20 powerd, there are a few tuff 31's out there though..

I was there had a great time i thought there was plenty of track time for the amount of cars there was there on sunday shit weather tho it was well run not to may problems and true Shan there needs to be more comunication between the 2

Ive been talking to my lanky counterpart in NSW of recent times on this topic actually :(

PM me your current email and ill do the same

there are still heaps of Trophies to Go out for both show and shine and the track day, there was over 100 trophies to go out, we did not have time to read thru everysingle name who one a trophy we are also still going thru paperwork to get names and address next to car lap times and judging Sheets!

"2rismo" we have been advertising this event for over 12MONTHS! in the last 2 months it has been in the herald sun, full page ads in hot 4's, hpi Mag, and various other publications, we have asked that our event be "stickied" on sau several times but to no avail, you sir have been living under a rock, lol

"R31Nismoid" We would love very much for more sau cars to come, but if they dont want to, we cant make them, if you want to help with getting them there for 2010, pm me and lets start working it out now, 2 years Notice! should be heaps of time!

We had 50 less r31's than 2006 but more cars than 2006. the extra cars were made up of 34's princes, and 32's and dato's, we had over triple the amount of 33's from 2006 but considering how many are on the roads in Victoria it was a poor poor turnout from the 33 team,

if anyone has any input., contact me Direct: [email protected]

    • You are perhaps suggesting that it is not a super car? Well....it's not an AU.
    • Dropped the MX5 of this morning to get the hardtop colour matched and some PDR done, they are also going to give it a buff to remove some "stubborn" swirl marks and light scratches in the clear coat Over the last few months the poor little thing has copped some shopping centre car park abuse, I try to not park in them, but hitting Westfield's a few times over the last few months has taken its toll, nothing really bad, but enough of a trigger for a "while we're in there" thingie  Once it's back and all the one colour, with a few dents and mark's removed I'll give some of these products a go and see what they're like
    • A locally delivered Infiniti have remote start installed but don't come with the remote start key. You need a new remote start key and they just need it programed. And this is different to making/programing a new key that just starts the car.
    • Cheers, and cheers for sharing so much of the build and also sharing the glimpse of what turns out to bring a lot of us poor decision makers together haha.  I do recommend learning more about how to manage it, if not considering getting a  formal diagnosis.  The discussion with the psychiatrist I got my diagnosis through was quite eye opening, things I'd not even considered to be ADHD related and hadn't mentioned were things she asked about out of the blue and were common themes with people with my flavour of ADHD.   It's not a label for people who are hyperactive and ill-attentive, there's more to it than that and some of it can be much more challenging or damaging - though there are of course two sides to the thing, and a lot of the stuff we have to go through and work on to live with it make us effectively "better" at other things as well. Aside from the fact that there is some argument I could have a bit of ASD seasoning in there (came up during the diagnosis, and neurodiverse things seem to not stay as a cookie cut) I suspect you need to learn more about ADHD if you are puzzled about how hyperfocus could possibly apply.  I *do* personally use "superpower" with quotes deliberately, but it's 100% an ADHD thing due to the exact reason that lack of focus is also an ADHD thing... Loosely speaking the inattentive side of ADHD isn't the inability to focus, it's the inability to control where the focus goes.  Not being able to sleep because brain is more interested in thinking about a stupid thing I said to a girl I liked 30 years ago, not being able to focus on work because my brain is more keen on putting together the torque management strategy we're going to try out with a drag car next weekend, not being able to focus on a conversation with someone I WANT to listen to and respect because there is a flickering light in my peripheral vision.    If I could just stop work and build the torque management setup right there and then I'd not hear anything else until it was done.
