they gave them to the r31 guys. i still dont know how i didnt win best r33. i had every thing done

Hi every one

I saw the ads and a mate of mine and i flew over from tassy for the event, found it to be pretty good we went saturday only.

It was great to see some winning race cars and yes a pile of r31's not a problem though next year jason and i will bring our gtr's for a run.

Thanks for a good dayand look forward to next year.

If any one is thinking about the jambaree in queensland you must go it is a great week end,I've been 3 years so far and am going again next month.

thanks all stuart

mate i understand your upset that you didnt win best 33 there but lets face it there were better ones there,

Further more, we handed out about 20 trophies Sunday night, there are over 107 to hand out!

so we still have over 80 to go out!!!

you coming is great and your car is nice, but simply turning up and expecting a win just isnt how it works, i wasnt a judge, but you should be inspired to make your car better if you want trophies! simply "having every thing Done" doesn't guarantee a win. Fit And Finish, Quality not quantity,

if you had turned up in 2006, you would have walked away with a trophy, but there was only one 33 there in 2006.

i will post up the rest of the results as soon as we get them together,

Sunday what a day!

Woke up in the morning 6am with about 4 hours sleep from Saturday night lol, soo shattered spent most of Saturday detailing the car and trying to avoid the rain, just for it to bucket down all day on Sunday!

Other than the rain was a great day, very impressed with most cars, full credit to their owners. Great to see a mix of models as I can remember back in 2006 was dominated by r31's, which isn't a badd thing

Have a few pics on the camera will upload once my net goes back up i got CAPPED yayyy! :) lol

Just some suggestions that may make this event better just for the Sunday speaking. Maybe a few more competitions during the day eg; ps3 gran turismo comps who cna get the best laps. Some Music doesnt have to be a full dj setup just even a few speakers playing a few songs. I just found it to very straight foward park the car, look at the cars and thats it nothing in between. Just need something to keep the crowd alive but i guess the weather really hurt us aswell. But other than that a GREAATT day :D

Heres a few pics i could upload. Enjoy :O

Hi guys,

i had a great weekend. Winton on saturday was fun even if it was a bit unorganised and running behind time.

It was good sunday to see the large range of cars turn out in the poor weather.

I agree with Jake (HYPA33) that his car was better modified and a lot cleaner than mine.

Cheers NutR33

if you had turned up in 2006, you would have walked away with a trophy, but there was only one 33 there in 2006.

I take offence at that Adrian!

Just cause I was the only 33 there, and won a trophy lmfao!

Show and Shine is for posers anyways :ermm:

i was there we spent more time behind the tow truck than raceing as the intercooler pipes clamps where not holding

aza, mate rip that cooler pipe out and get a decent lip welded onto it

Sorry I didn't have a decent enough clamp for you, you guys must have been getting the shits up spending all that time parked in the grass around turn 4-5 !

Here is the trophy list everyone. There will be no correspondence entered into here. The judges decision is final. We have one dispute involving the sprints which may be valid, as we don't have a name for the car number. This will be followed up privately.

Also keep in mind, The More Newer Model Skylines that come to the nationals, the more Trophies there will be for them,

  • 2 weeks later...

I was there in 06 and back in 08... planning on heading to SA for 2010.

I won N/A Regularity & got the 2nd fastest N/A Sprint time.

yes, I'm a 31 boffin, I took 2 this year from NSW.

The import Skyline scene need to get into their head is that this is a NOT 31 event, the reason why 31's seem to get more trophies, is coz there are more 31's. Makes sense, the more post later model skylines that show up the more they will be awarded. Best stock, best modded, 32, 33, 34, 35 etc.

SVD vehicles are special to in the same way that GT-R's are special, and there was a category for GT-Rs too.

it almost feels like SAU has boycotted this event, I hope that there is a much bigger representation in 2010.

It was GREAT to see more of the later models at winton and at the show n shine.

You have to remember that this is the 2nd nationals, so everything is still very young, CSA is even younger and from what I know has learnt alot from that weekend.

My opionions on the track are that yes it was running late, but that was due to mechanical failure of the organisers car (with all the important stuff in it!) the EXA car club was invited to fill spots because of a booking issue with Winton - I personally feel that it was a bit of a mistake, there have been some pretty nasty words said by their guys. I think if its going to stick to one diciplin then it should... but what is needed is more support from the Skyline Family to fill those spaces.

I was out there and had a blast, as for time / performance categories I was held up by a 270kw 33, and I have a bog-stock GTS1 running consistant 1.58's around the full circut of Winton. So its hard to pick!

The show and shine needs some work - especially with the judging sheets, you just cant have the same sheet for different classes, esp. modified vs. concourse. - the weather on the day was a pain in the ass, something which any organiser does not have control over. I will be voicing this opinion with organisers at the right time.

I hope to see more and more people at this event from every Skyline family.

    • I wouldn't be concerned at all, other than to suggest having them flow tested when you receive them to confirm they are reasonably similar, and then put the highest to lowest flowing ones in cylinder 6,1,5,2,4,3
    • I’m only posting this cause I thought I had seen a bad review on these somewhere before. Any feedback? Would you guys recommend that if I do buy these I send em to RC to have em checked before installing. Or any other suggestions?   https://www.ebay.com/itm/114009965865?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=JDl-15yLQ8C&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QTzlFXB1S-S&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
    • They see me rollin' they hatin'....... Took me most of the day to make the necessary mods to the mounts to make them fit the car.  Fortunately I was able to just use the mounts that came with the rotisserie. The rear ones are really secure, the front I feel i might reinforce a bit more as it doesn't seem like enough attachment to the vehicle. I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than (extremely...) sorry.  I drilled and tapped thread into additional M12 holes to each car mount where it attaches to the rotisserie as an extra fail-safe. Without them the side to side movement is just restricted by the allen head pinch bolts, nothing actually goes though the beam. Does now! I still need to adjust the rotisserie to get the car centred in terms of centre of gravity. If it's too high or too low relative to the rotational centre line of the car, it will be like a turtle and roll onto its back or as it currently sits, I dont think I'd be able to rotate it as it sits as it needs to lift the whole car up as it rotates. Ain't happening... I'm going to be nervous as hell the first time I go to spin it on its side...
    • Oh yes done this when the window started flopping around.  Turns out the guides that run along the rail chanel had crumbed way. Took off the door card and pulled out the window mech, then the window, which you have to pull out through the top. As said unbolt the guide rail and don't spend 30 minutes getting frustrated trying to find a way to slide it out upwards cause that don't frigging work. Drop it down and out through the door hole. All I did to repair it was slice some 10mm clear plastic tube, vertically, then screw it to the guide rail both sides. This tubing rolls inward on both sides and leaves a gap wide enough to hold the window. To finish all I did was lube the plastic tube with olive oil and Bob's your uncle . . . well if he has the operation he can be your Aunt ! !  10 bucks in plastic tube and another 5 minute job done again . . . . YEH BULLSH#T ! My love for Skylines knows no bounds !
    • So was there a solution to this problem? I’m having this issue now.
