Cubes
Start blinking really fast on one side as if a globe was blown? I've checked all blinkers and all are working so my guess is its the flasher unit. Every now and again it would blink fast on the right side, I would turn the blinker off and put it back on and it would blink at a normal pace. Nissan want $100 for a newey. An Aftermarket 300zx Z32 92' one from Motor Mates is $22. I might find out if the flasher unit is the same... If so thats a decent saving and I'd be a happy man.. blind_elk
How does it go on the other side? I think there's only 1 unit, that works both sides. So if the relay was cooked, the indicators would be flashing quickly on both sides. Jay95R33
Joel. Sounds like a dodgy connection on one of your blinkers to me. Pull all the bulbs out on that side and clean the connections and check all the plugs. I had a blicker relay go on an old car (my old tough Stanza ), and over time the blinking got slower and slower and slower...... And it did it on both sides. wrxhoon
thats the usual prob if it flashes quicker , globe gone or bad connection , if the unit is stuffed u would have the prob on either side so i would check all globes on that side and clean the connectors before i bought the new unit . Cubes
OK I checked all connections etc and they are all fine. I poped down to Autobarn ripped out the old one and it looked the same as a R31 Skyline Flasher unit. $30... All is good now.. Much better than the $100 Nissan wanted. Second hand jap importers wanted $30. The bloke said his flasher unit went in the same way on his old EH holden and come to think of it I have seen some old holdens flashing really quickly and all their blinkers appear like they are working. Its been doing it every now and again for the past 2 years. It would dissapear for 6 months then come back then go then came back and stayed. I plugged the old one back in to double check and yer the quick flashing was there still.
