Hi,

I did a search for dynolicious and couldn't find anything so forgive me if its been mentioned already.

Dynolicious

From the site.

* 0-60 Acceleration

* 1/4 Mile Elapsed Time

* Lateral G's

* Horsepower

If you have an Iphone its a cheap ($15.99) way to see some fairly accurate(?) stats for your car. Just do a search for dynolicious in the app store.

It does not have metric units in it so far, but I think it will be very popular and will get a metric option down the track.

Check out the screenshots page

EDIT: Just playing with the app now, you can put multiple cars into it, you get to put a photo for your car from the camera's photos. You also get to add mods to see before and after results. It has mounting instructions in the app.

The only testing ive been able to do so far is to swing it about to get to to measure g's and things which is making me look like an idiot in the office :blink:

Must work in a simliar way to a g-tech, accuracy will depend on the quality of the accelerometer in the i-phone. And a g-tech is accurate to aboutn 1/10 of a second they say.

Even if it isnt accurate (but it should be ok), it should be consistant, if you get what i mean. So good for comparing before and after. But i dont find the horsepower tool on my g-tech very useful, so i doubt you will on ur iphone.

Very nice little program...you essentially get a basic g-tech for a fraction of the price,

post ur times up

Or if you have a symbian S60 phone you can get that and more by using an ap called race chrono found here --> http://www.racechrono.com/ which is 100% free.

Thanks TiTAN.. hadnt heard of this before..

I have downloaded and installed it with the latest firmware onto my 6110 navigator, and ill let you guys know how it goes once i give it a run..

Hrmm, wonder whether GPS or accelerometer would be more accurate.. And if someone could make one for the iPhone that uses both for accuracy haha.

A 1hz GPS won't be accurate for standing start stuff because it only updates once a second.... a 5hz would be a bit better, a combination of both GPS and accelerometer would be good.

That is gold!! How do you know if your S60 symbian mob has an accelerometer or not, was thinking of getting a samsung G810, not sure if it has one though, would love something like that if it could data map stuff.

Don't worry, just saw it on the list for the 3rd edition... Pays to actually read links

N95 is S60 with acceleromter

ive got one on mine called TEMPES.GTX

its pretty average. i'm sure racechrono works on N95 too, but it has too many options for my liking.

i'm guessing Dynolicious will be ported to S60 before too long.

Dynolicious is pretty cool but only ported to iPhone at the moment as far as I know.

Can't wait to get my car back on Monday to give it a proper go. Tried it out in my friends Golf GTi today and was pretty impressed. I am sure it's not 100% re power readings but still a cool novelty! Nice to play with between hands of Texas Hold-em :)

On another note, thoroughly impressed with the GTi, drove it out to the airport today and it was a good drive. Pretty quick stock out of the box :rolleyes:

    • Hi    have purchased pair of eibach wheel spacer as I couldn’t fit set of wheels I bought for my car due to it catching caliper.   I know I need to cut the bolts on my discs so they sit flush with the nut supplied but the nut doesn’t sit all the way into the groove meaning wheel would not directly fit onto the spacer rather the nuts. Any thoughts?   See pic   https://ibb.co/VJK5w5G
    • Nah. There's not shit tonnes of pressure in there. Just drill with a 1.5mm drill or something equally tiny. When the drill goes all the way through thee gas will start to come out, but with such tiny path through the flutes of the drill bit, it won't be at all dangerous. You can be as paranoid as you like from then on. I'd just pull the drill out while keeping my face out of the line of fire. But then, I spend half my time looking into pressurised furnaces. So my risk acceptance is somewhat higher than most!
    • Been needing a new clutch for a while, but holding off because of life tingz and adulting. But... Being of Asian descent, I can't pass on a good sale, especially everyone else is selling it for $2k+ (JJR has it for $1799). Really on the fence on this one, because the unsprung version of this is $1281 via Shitbox (Sparesbox) and the sprung version is quite a bit more (no idea why Shitbox doesn't offer them). Ending up just sending it and getting the twin sprung organic. Mainly because I wanted the car to be nice to drive and didn't want to make it more of a shitbox than it already is.
    • It was the pressure I was worried about. @GTSBoy does drilling them pose any problems?
