R33 Tacho Not Working

Hi all,

My tacho recently has stopped working, it became real erratic then all of us sudden nothing???

I havent had a look yet but was thinking maybe a wiring fault or is there somthing more common that occurs with these?

Any help would be appreciated as it might save me some time when looking for the gremlin.
