R34 Gt-t Engine Oil Pressure

Hey everyone,

I've had my car serviced recently, and I've been using Mobil1 in the car and have noticed that on idle, the car sits engine oil pressure sits at 2. I've got an oil cooler installed, and with Melbourne shit weather I think it could be effecting it, but is this the normal reading?

Get it checked by a workshop of friend with a mechanical pressure gauge, as the standard one may be faulty.

Note as well though, it does move during accerlaration, which is normal, but I'm wondering if at idle, 2 is the norm?...

I have no clue if they are the same, but from factory the s1 RB25det should sit at 1.1kpa when WARM at idle (600rpm).

Is your oil warm?

Thats pretty standard dude. Mine sits at just a tad over 2 on idle when its hot. My mates gtr and my other mates 33 are pretty much the same. When you drive it should sit just over 4 and when you give it shit just just below 6.

^^^ I agree with trel, cold start up swings to 8 then as it warms up settles to 2 on idle. Cruising warm around 3.7-4.1, give it a bit, 4.5 say. Normal.
