Hicas Cut

Hi all,

I'm wondering if simply removing the power plug to the hicas motor is enough to remove hicas from your car safely.

I unplugged it today and drove around and found driving without hicas to be fantastic but im concerned if this hurts the car somehow since everyone else is putting lock bars or lock kits on there cars.

hey mate I've just brought my first r33 and have found heaps on this hicas topic from what i understand even unplugged the hicas i think still has the movement in the steering hence why there all putting lockbars im about 75% sure thats why but i could be wrong

Correct, simply unplugging the hicas will not stop it from working.

Joining in, the above is correct. You need a lock bar, but good thing is; they're cheap, they save weight and they actually work!
