Hey all im looking at a microtech LT-8 on ebay atm and was wondering if it can be used on a RB25 neo it says it was setup on a 355 chev motor so can i use it on rb25? Do i have to just change the base maps and get a loom to suit? Can i run it as a piggy back system and use the factory one to control the Auto?

im 99% sure lt8 are for 4cyls only, i had one on my celica, i think you'll need to run the lt10 series.

But honestly, you may get the mircotech for anywhere between 900-1100, then you have to wire in it which is more $$$ if you cant do it. I would get a powerfc, plug n play = nice and easy

any ECU you choose has the same issue as the PFC, none of them handle the auto gearbox logic

your paths moving forward are

1) remap the stock ecu

2) greddy emanage piggyback

3) change the ecu (in this case any ECU will be the same as none support the auto)

so if you go for #3 the PFC is by far the best ECU you can use as long as you dont mind gear change possibly becoming flary/harsh on the autobox

going to a microtech is a step backwards - i think they are great for rotaries and 4cylinders, but for skyline PFC is spot on
