Hi, am about to fit gtst valve springs to my R32 RB25de head, but before i bolt it down im fitting oil restrictors to the block. Can someone tell me if the RB25de head has hydraulic or solid lifters? Iv been looking around but havent found a straight yes or no answer. So any help would be awesome. Also what is the advantage of having solid lifters (eg the RB26 motors)

Cheers

RB20DET and R32 RB25DE springs are the same.

The reason the RB25DE springs suck is because they are trying to control a larger valve with boost behind it. Which is going to result in float earlier than it otherwise would have in the rb20det.

Drop a set of GTR springs in it. They can usually be picked up for ~100-150.

If you can't get them for that price grab a set from Performance Springs in QLD for $280. Unless its a budget build I'd prefer to throw a decent set at the head for $280.
