Hey Guys,

Well, i've just purchased my first Skyline (R33 GTS-T) and i'm very happy with my new toy :P

it's pretty stock apart from a front mount intercooler, turbosmart boost tap (running standard boost) , and b.o.v. My guess is that its pushing around165-170rwkw.

I'm keen to get more power, aiming for around the 220rwkw mark.

Just wondering what mods you guys have done and what sort of power is your Skyline pushing?

Cheers Guys :(

With just the cooler and standard boost your probably pushing around 140-150rwkw... do you have an exhaust?

Around the 220rwkw mark would require full exhaust, up the boost, aftermarket or retuned standard ecu, cant remember how much kw the standard turbo can hold but 220rwkw is probably asking for a new turbo anyways, standard clutch will probably go too, fuel pump... theres a thread in the forced induction section with what mods and how many kw they're making.

if you look in the forced induction section you will find loads of info to answer your many questions.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fo...erforma-f8.html

you will need a few mods to make 220+rwkw

to get started:

-full exhaust

-pod filter (preferably with some way of getting cold air to it)

-front mount intercooler

-fuel pump

then to get 220+rwkw you will have to look at($$$):

-more boost (bigger turbo)

-engine management (new ecu, or remap the stock one)

more power again($$$):

-injectors

-manifolds

-cams

-internals

just a basic rundown, i think most people would more or less agree with my assessment.

you can probably achieve 220kw on a stock turbo. but that would just about be its limit.

thats ok though, coz by the time it blows, you'll have gotten use to 220 and want to upgrade to a bigger turbo anyway

i'm sure nissan planned it this way ;)

and i dont think 260kw will max the internals. maybe 290kw

Soz yeah forgot to mention has a full 3 inch zorst into a 5 inch tip...I heard those turbosmart boost taps are bad for the engine what do you think? i'm keen to get rid of it and get an electronic boost controller..

cheers
