has anyone done this as I am keen to know what you payed to get ur spoiler off your R32 and remove the holes.. ijust got a quote for 750 bucks.. im like dick that for a quote. Im thinkn it should be alot cheaper

Its not cheap, I know that much. PM Hoony (Andrew), he did it to his R34 GTT. You may have seen it at Auto Salon?

Took the spoiler off myself, payed a workshop $250 to get it welded and sprayed.

thats a nice price, ah but your in NSW, but still, removing the spoiler isnt a problem, so hopefully somewhere up here can match that price

yeah take the spoiler off urself.. weld the holes.. and grind them back.. then pay minimal costs to have it sprayed..

or bog the holes and sand it back

so Im told that if i weld hte holes which support the centre of the spoiler, the boot lid will buckle under heat :S

you just gotta be careful when welding a little at a time let it cool right off between hits... don't expect to get it done in one hit and you'll be right.

Thats right, if you go too quickly or too much in one hit it will warp/buckle. Just make sure you have a bucket of cold water and rags there to help cool the area whilst welding.

$250 is about the most you would want to pay to have it done and even that is pushing it considering what is involved
