Madgadget
Hi all, I am thinking of buying a R32 GTR in the next few months from Perth. How tough is ACT rego? The car isn't a monster, stock turbos, big bore exhaust (not very loud), recaros and some N1 body bits. Anything I should ask the seller that I need to know in advance? Cheers MG Edited August 5, 2008 by Madgadget Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231025-how-tough-is-act-rego/ Share on other sites
nerm
well im going through it at the moment for my Chaser and i have been told that my rear wheels are 10mm to far appart so i have to find some different wheels. you can pretty much get almost anything engineered like coilovers etc. if you go about it the right way and dont try and dodgy things it makes it much easier for example: my car has coilovers and an exhaust. exhaust was too loud, there is a shop in belconnen that will take the end of the exhaust off and put in a little pee shooter which makes no noise what so ever. coilovers are a little more fidly, you will need to get an engineers certificate. the closer you can get you car to stock the easier it will be it may be hard to get past but i dont think one person on here wouldnt do it again.. i would be so worth it.. i should imagine Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231025-how-tough-is-act-rego/#findComment-4058219 Share on other sites

shredder667
yeah, they wouldn't let me thru because the rolling diameter of the tyres that came with the car were 1cm too big. clearly though, my life was in peril and had they not found this out it could have resulted in a life threatening accident. Cheers MG Sounds like an easy pass from what you have written. It does not need to go over the main pits, just a local shop. Make it look stock, exhaust is a dead giveaway. slaughter
dont take it to dickson, i got a place in gungahlin to transfer my rego over from QLD no dramas at all except i had to to go to the tip to get a weight ticket that was 20 bucks or something apart from that it was a very easy process for me, all i had was a cat back (quite loud) and a air pod , stock wheels and everything.
