Lifting Bonnet

Has anyone had issues unlocking there bonnet. When i pull my release in the car, it takes up to 10 times for me to go to the front and release it for me to lift. If i get someone to pull it up at the same time there are no issues. I can also push the little catch across as i dont have my front grill on at the moment and it releases it so i can push across the catch to release the latch to for me to be able to lift it. Ive looked at it and has has anyone had this problem and if so how did they fix it?

start with a clean and degrease , then new grease on the locking mechanism..

if no change the it sounds like you latch in the cabin isnt installed correctly.
