Hi guys,

I took my Type R Integra to a mechanic because it wasn't reversing properly and it wouldn't down shift to 2nd gear. They "rebuilt" my gearbox with new bearings and gave everything a clean. The car now reverses properly and down shifts to second without a problem BUT it now doesn't go into 4th gear below 3500rpm. I took the car back to the mechanic the next day and I have left it there since. They have pulled out the gearbox another 2 times (apparently) and they can't find anything wrong. They've had the car for a total of 6 weeks now and I'm starting to get concerned.

What should I do? Is it reasonable to ask for all my money back and take the car somewhere else?

Thanks.

i would get your car out there b4 starting a conversation that might end up in conflickt.

i would feel more at ease if my car was down at the gearbox speacialist getting done and then try and get the machanic to pay for it, rather saying something now while your car is sitting there with no gearbox..

just a thought.,
