So I Pulled My Diff Apart To Shim It...help!

Hey guys,

I ripped the diff outta my GTR last night, planning to shim the LSD to get some lock, only to find that the shims or spacers are HUGE compared to the GTSt ones i ordered from nissan, which I was hoping would fit.

I called Nissan and they couldnt find any such part for the GTR, even though i faxed them a pic from the service manual, clearly showing the spacer, so thats why I just got the GTSt ones, as i had to part number from here.

Now where the hell do I get some thicker spacers for my diff?!

the nismo LSD clutch pack upgrade would probably achieve what you want. costs about $200. I don't know anyone in aus that flogs them, but if you want one I can get them.

if that's not your cup of tea though I would take it down to your local tranny guy (no not the one in the trenchcoat, the one in greasy overalls) and show it to them and they should be able to determine what you need.

hey mr baron I am going to give this a go on the new nugget....can you organise a set for me....send me the details I'm happy with the shimmed std diff in the other car but I thought I would try this to compare.

Yeah I wanted a cheap quick fix just for the moment, probly get a mech later.

I sourced some random spacers .5mm, i just need to machine them down diameter wise.
