Oh sweet, weekend drags. I'll come down in the Pulsar, only got 3 runs in at Calder last time. I know I can do a bit better with traction. I'll be rocking up early though, want to get as many runs in as possible. If anyone else wants to come early with me let me know.

lol we will all be there at about 12.30 or so, last night i was talking to a bunch of mates and we organised everything and at about 12.30 we will all be there, couple my mates are bring some holdens lol, just need to kind of embarass them lmfaoo, one of them is quick VNEMSS, 355 stroker so that would probably get me but dw one of the sau GTR's will do him, his getting too too... cocky lol

Tony, not sure if I can make it mate. I will be fasting on the day (as it will be the month of Ramadan). I'll see as time gets closer, usually lack energy during the month (no food or water). Try to organise a backup just in case I can't make it.

hey crew I'm from Torquay haven't met any one on here before. i have a skid pan day on at Sandown the day before (sat 6th) and will stay in melbs then come to calder sunday. i wont be running my gtr on the sunday but would like to come in and meet some peeps and watch some commonwhores get there butts wooped. is there any way i can bring my car in to show people but not have to race or pay so much? not a fan of leaving my car in the grass car park. just want to get it in and get some pics from the night with other cars around it and chat to other crew.

oh well let me know if ya gots any info.

cheers

Dion

Or if we organise a pre meet in the south eastern burbs somewhere you might be able to get a lift there and back.

I will just have to put the paranoia of leavin my car in the car park out of my head! i know that i will be mad keen to drive myself home afterwards so i will bring it anyways

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
