Had a close one today

Was heading from Beenleigh to Logan, heading up the big hill just after you leave Beenleigh and I was giving a Late moded Holden Ute (all dressed up) a run.

As you reach the top of the hill it kinks to the right then left and the 2 lanes merge in to one just as you go over the top. I took the Ute on the outside lane and hit the top of the hill at around 120, as I new the road,

If any knows this road you will know what I mean about the top of the hill,

I backed of early as it is very deceptive due to the camber.

As it was, I was a little late in the judgment of my speed I was bordering of 4 wheel drift (that shredding noise) and needing to bring the car back to the left. Which I managed with a heart flutter.

The problem was that the Ute driver had backed of later than me and was now almost fully side way's coming off the camber and was heading straight for my rear right. I could see his front end in my side mirror and his backend in the my rear mirror. I had no choice but hit the gas again and watch him fish tail and regain it,

I was lucky that

1.I had the grunt to get moving again as I was now heading downhill again and

2. I was in a Skyline.

I swear any other car and I would have lost it and he would have hit me.

I have pushed many cars around this section of road in my years and normally on my own and using both lanes. I also know 2 people who have written there cars off on the "Hill"

We caught up windows down a few lights ahead and he looked white as a ghost and stuttered that he thought he was ****ed.

I nodded my head in agreement I thought we both were.

Feels good to be alive.
