Hey all,

Just trying to work out the best way to hook the power mirrors up to the alarm so they fold/unfold when you enable/disable the alarm.

Has been discussed before if you want a quick catch up http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ht=mirror+alarm

So from what I can gather the G-O appears to be to wire it to the central locking, and detect ON/ACC so you don't accidentaly close the mirrors by locking the doors whilst driving?

Figure I'd use something like a 2PST 12v relay to figure the ON/ACC part, and then just hooking the switch under the dash into the central locking..... unless anybody else has any better ideas?

Thanx

ive thought about this also. and do plan on setting it up one day. i dont know how much power the mirror motors draw so playing it safe might require a few relays, one for open and one for close.

you might want to have a switch to be able to turn this feature on and off. with the relays have this switch control the main power imput of the relay (save having two switchs) or have a cross over relay that when the ignition is on the relay doesnt send power to the other relays

find the wires that controls the door lock unlock. correct the lock to the relay used for close and the unlock to the relay used for the open.

if you find the mirrors are not opening or closing fully you might need to add a capacister.

by slicing into the harness you leave your original switch working at all times, this will solve the problem some find with remote start ect.

hope this has been of help. do tell if you get it done i would be interested to know how ya went.
