Hey guys - so somehow driving home the other night the welsh plug in the back of my head decided to disappear - with no notice!!! i heard a small metallic chinky noise, next thing i know theres a big cloud of steam behind the car!

Got it towed home (as it wouldnt start), next day tried to start it, and it wouldnt start, decided to randomly put some water in the radiator - and it come out the back of the head as quick as it went in the radiator....

I stuck my hand around there and there is a missing welsh plug.... I can get one from repco - no worries at all!!! My question is, would the missing welsh plug be the reason the engine would not start? I think not.... so would replacing that welsh plug be throwing away money? its only a natro RB20 after all

you don't want to know my theory on why it doesn't start but here it is anyway....a motor doesn't just need fuel and spark, it needs compression as well. very possible you did the headgasket or even worse warped the head or cracked the block when it got hot.

do a compression test next, like you said rb20 is cheap to replace.
