some very late model 2005s i have seen with the projectors but most do not. they also have different tail lights with the newer one being more 3D. The front bar is also a little different also on the 06

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering what the main difference is between 2005 and 2006 v35s? do they both have projectors for the HIDs?

Thanks

not sure about JDM specs but for the Infiniti G in America (where i'm from) the V35 breaks down as follows:

2003-2004: Old Interior/gauges, Reflector Headlamps, Old Tail lights, Brembo brakes + 18" wheels on 6MT&Sport model

2005: New Interior/gauges, 19" forged wheels on 6MT&Sport models, no Brembos, Reflector headlamps from 03-04, Old taillights from 03-04

2006-2007: New Interior/gauges from 05, 19" forged wheels on 6MT&Sport models from 05, no Brembos from 05, Projector Headlamps, New taillights with external trunk release button

and for the 2007-2008 models:

2007 Sedan: Became new G35 sedan (equivalent to JDM V36 4dr 350GT)

2008 Coupe: Became G37coupe (equivalent to JDM V36 coupe 370GT)

hope this helps

USDM-V35 is spot on. I imported a 11/05 V35. It had the factory 19" Alloys for the 06 spec.

The 06 has slightly different tail lights- a little sharper tapored and has the external boot release.

The front of the 06 I could not pick the difference. Though dealer mentioned headlights--Maybe difference between "Projector/Reflector" headlights.

My Interior trim is exactly the same as the 06. which was a hugh bonus.

Question, the VQ35DE in 03 Coupe is the same one as the one in a 06 model in terms of kW & Nm?

I know Infiniti G35 05 models got the rev-up engine as did the 350z.

I believe it's the same with the V35

03-04 206kW

05-06 212kW (rev up)

06+ 222kW

or thereabouts.
