Can You Identify This Oil Filter For An Rb26? (its Not A Ryco Z145a Or A Z442)

Hi,

Finally got the filter out of the car but can't identify it, its from an R33 GTR.

East coast was unsure, I haven't gone to Repco yet and the filters on the internet don't look right, eg.

Matches the Nissan part number...

Yes its a bit too small for my liking as well, there is no room down there, I believe its a Greddy sandwich plate and there's no room down there for a full-sized filter, I'm looking at buying a oil filter relocation kit + cooler and fitting that with a normal filter...(that's my current plan anyway).

It's the same thread pattern to a Z145A but its about 1/4 the size and there is no chance of fitting a Z145A down there.

Trying to work out if I can get the oil cooler on the LHS of the front bar, which means long lines for it...."Hall Sales" has helped me look at a Permacool oil cooler so far (with the much needed relocation kit).

I can tell you that Ryco recommend a Z145A for most RB 25s. But for some reason after 11/98 (which doesnt correspond with any real advances in the 34's) they recommend the Z442.

I can also tell you the correct Sard Mag Plus filter for my 25NEO is the exact same size as the Z442. Food for thought?

I thought they look to small, but if sard and ryco both make one exactly the same, well I went with that.

With your 26, well I guess thats up to you

yeah z442 is what I run on mine to give space for the sandwich plate. same as the normal z145A but shorter. its from a micra, na silvia etc

How big are you guys sandwhich plates? I'm running a greddy sandwhich plate/cooler kit and have no issues what so ever fitting a normal filter. I'm using the K&N filters as well so if anything they are even longer!

well.....33 gtr doesn't have the hicas solenoids sitting right in front of the oil filter.....

I also run the greddy plate and can't fit the normal filter

Interesting, I don't think I could fit the Z442 down there either due to the other parts that are in the way, not quite sure what they are down there.

Anyway, I'm getting a relocation kit and moving it somewhere where I can reach the filter easily

Relocation kit had no where to fit so I bought a Z442 from Autobarn, its completely different to the other filter I was shown and it looks like it will fit....finally
