Hey guys been looking at few car clubs around adelaide with the intent of doing a bit of track work and wondering if anyone is a member of any clubs such as sportingcarclubsa.org.au or nissandatsuncarclubsa.com, or on a national scale nissansportscarclub.org. I know that sausa have been trying to organise a cams affiliated club and i don't want to tread on anyone's toes but doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon and i really would like to get some track time experience... seems like all this building up of my car has to go towards something :D Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the sporting car club.

Never been to anything with them but it allows me to have a CAMS license.

So its $235 to join the club and $95 for a CAMS license? So you don't have to actually be involved in meetings and such but you can join the track days and allows participation in events hosted by them?

Mate i tell ya what, join up with the Austin 7 Club of SA, which costs you SFA, get your CAMS licence and away you go. This club is the club that runs the Modern Regularity out at Mallala, So any info you will need is there, and obviously you can do all of the prac days on Saturdays also, Some weekends you could do a Prac day on the Saturday and Modern Reg on the Sunday!!

This would be ideal if you dont want to go to meetings and not actually be involved with the running of a club, but still get info on Modern Reg at hand. Dont get me wrong you can still do Modern Reg if your not part of this club, anyone can do it, its just you may as well find the cheapest CAMS affiliated club to join.

Mitsubishi GSR/EVO Club provide membership for $70 including a nice little starting pack. Very Social and Motor Sport orientated club. They have a few GTR R32 and R34 Vspec members, so YES, non-mitsubishis are welcome. Cheaper option than the SCCSA if you only did a few events during the year.
