To put it in more detail...

1. Pop bottom part of back chair of, its just clipped in at two points... sometimes need encouragement with a leaver.

2. Undo to bolts at bottom of upright part of chair, use a socket, as the screwdrivers always seem to strip.

3. Lift top part of chair, Its secured by three hooks, lift and move seatbelts out of the way.

4. Pop out the parcel shelf.

Reverse order to put back, careful with putting back top part of seat on three hooks, as they then to bend if seat is put on wrong.

thanks guys! managed to get it out without removing the seat which was good. i don't really understand the purpose of those clips on the shelf though. they didn't seem to be clipping into anything! oh well, looks fine.

quick question though, what's the point of those brackets that sit over the speaker? obviously they're there for the big black things on top of the speaker grills to bolt into, but what're they for? i just left them off for the time being. cheers!

THIS is the method i would advise you to use.

Um I have had the parcel shelf out on various R32's & never once removed the rear seat. You just grap the cushion & pull it forward whilst you lift the various sections of parcel shelf. It is only timber anyway so will flex quite a bit.

this however is not.
