R34 Gtr Cams

hey guys,

Looking at buying a set of after market cams for my GTR , Any suggestions on what i should buy , i want the car to go a little better but most important im wanting it to sound more TOUGH!!!! . Is there another way of doing this ??

Current Mods ,

R34 N1's , Power FC , Injectors , Fuel Pump , 3 1/2 Inch Exsaust , Jun Cam Gears , Basic bolt on mods Running 310 Kws at 4's On 17 Psi .

Personally with those turbo's i wouldnt go any bigger then Poncams (260's @ 9.15)..... As for sounding tough, it has a lot to do with the tune. A mates poncams sounds lumpier then my 270's @ 10.25's.

Wheres the best place to buy cams as i looked a bit around this forum didnt find much , or is better to buy it off the person who installs and tunes it ? any specific brand i should be looking at for a street driven car , i mean cam gears in there are jun but does it matter if cams are different brand ? and is there going o be any additional cost of buying little things on the way that i should know about ? trying to gather as much knowlege as i can

Theres a few traders on this forum who offer good prices on the Poncams, I am looking to get them for my R32 GT-R.

Depends where you are located but picking them up rather than postage can save a bit more too.

Doesn't matter regarding the different brands of cams and cam gears. I've been told by my mechanic that a valve spring upgrade isn't needed with the poncams, however each tuner has their own opinion about it no doubt.
