g'day.

Im looking at getting Bridgestone Adrenaline RE001s to fit on my R34 GTR rims (fitted on my R32 GTR).

What size do you guys recommend for these rims? Is it better to go more narrow for the fronts or keep them all the same widths?.

R34 gtr rims are 18" x 9".

The car will be predominately street use with the occassional track day.

Hey mate, I had the same rims on the same car, i put on bridgstone potenza SO-3's. they were 255/35/18's. they were a very very good tyre and didnt scrub at all.. hope this helps..

Thanks guys for your replies. I think i will take heed on the 255/35/18 on all corners. I am now looking at importing some Bridgestone RE-01R's from Tirerack.com. I heard they are pretty damn sticky and are a good compromise for street and a little bit of track work. Used to have Yoko Advans but didn't rate them much. If i cant get my hands on the RE-01rs, i may consider Federal 595 RS-R or Toyo T1-Rs. Its all too confusing, too many options and opinions out there.

Those rims came standard with 245's... which fit well... 255's will fit ok too, touch more baggy.

i have 255 michelins on my 34s and they're actually slightly stretched.

given that manufacturers widths vary between brands, a 245 or 255 road would be fine.

I've seen some 265 road tyre fitments on 34 wheels where the sidewalls are straight up - not baggy

hey godspeed,

i had 285 SO3 bridgestones on my r33GTR, they fit sweet, looked like a beast ha, but tram lined quite badly, went down to 255 toyo's, fixed problem

245s are the way to go on 9inch wide rims in my opinion. depends on the tyre of course too. I've tried 235, 245 and 255 on 9 inch wide rims. all are ok (though the 235s have always been semi slicks which are about the same width as a 255 road tyre).

so to recap, go for the 245s all round. either 40 or 45 profile.
