Fmic On R33

hey all

im buying a FMIC tomorrow.....and before i do just wanted to know if i need to get it tuned will it idle shit etc.........

any info would help..... I know r32 works fine but r32 ecu is better than 33 so thought would need a tune......

I wouldn't stress too much at this stage about getting a retune. If your looking at getting a cooler im guessing your still fairly early off in the mod stage. Depending on your goals if your sticking with the standard turbo id finish all your mods then retune so you only hve to do it once. If your changing turbos and going a bit more extreme then id worry about tuning when you get to that stage. No point wasting money getting a tune everytime you do something.

I had my front mount and exhaust all put in at the same time, when i took it out for the first time afterwards the only difference i noticed was getting a bit more boost and the car was louder. Lol. At that level the parts didnt adversly affect the car much

Dont bother getting a cooler if your not gonna get a tune really.

Stock one is fine for an un-tuned car.

If you get a FMIC, do it justice and get it tuned. Otherwise there is little point in getting one in the first place

Idle will be fine, no effect there.

ahk mad..... thanks.... like i know you dont really need to do anything when installing the cooler..... as we installed a hybrid cooler on mates 32 and all was sweet...... Was just curious because we all know the 33 ecu is diff to 32 ( 32 can take more boost where 33 cuts out when too much) but in that case ill be installing cooler haha........ im trying hard to make car look good as....... its got gtr front bodykit......... gtr rims........... blitz nur spec r exhaust.... engine wise got noting extra.....dont really want to as im on my p's...wanna wait till 21 then get gtr....for now just minor mods.....
