Help Car Wont Start

HI all

The problem is.. the car has been in the garage for about 2 weeks with a dead battery the battery was completely dead and now im trying to start the thing with my GFs car by hooking the jumper leads from her car to the batt in the boot but the car just ticks (like really fast ticking) but no start..

What do i need to do.. new battery or something more sinister...????

Battery is likely dead - ie dead short circuit so absolutely no way of being recharged or jump started. Buy a new one!!!

If the battery is REALLY D E A D, you need to let the jumping battery (your GF's car) be connected to yours for 10-15 minutes - just let GF car idle while jumpers connected to your battery. Then you stand a chance of getting yours to start.
