More Boost?

When I bought my car the owner gave me this green T piece which he said will boost the car, all u have to do is put it on one of the lines that lead to the solonoid, but only do it if u have a boost gauge. I have some pics of where it is to go and what it looks like.

Can someone tell me if this is a safe way to get extra rwkw and also how this might work. I cant see how it is a good idea as the solonoid is taken out of the system. Would this lead to problems?

by the looks of that thing, you'll have no way of controlling boost levels. could be a potential disaster.

go buy an adjustable bleed valve. same outcome, with adjustable boost.

looks like something i had on my fish tank...thoe it had a green plastic screw on the top to release pressure..

maby he ment that you need that piece to install your boost guage???

Nah it does boost it up but is very dangerous because different sizes will give you different amount of boost my mate had one before his boost controller on his gemini.

They cost about $1 from pirtec but you must b carefull when installing them as your turbo may overboost and F**K everything

I personnaly would would recommend a turbos*&t bleed valve over that.... and definately don't touch boost without a gauge, preferably a dyno to check your fuel as more boost places demands on your fuel pump. If you loose fuel pressure you will be looking for a new motor

When boosting don't go over 1 bar or 15 psi on the stock turbo.

it will work but is dangers like everyone said... better off getting an adjustable boost controller.

I run mine up to 16psi regularly.....seems to be getting healthier, will have to wait for time to tell though
