I just finished putting my turbo back on and started my car to charge the battery. i noticed the car smelt very hot when i opened the bonnet the manifold was glowing red hot, could this be from not having a full exhaust? it's only running the dump pipe till monday. i really dont want my car to catch fire. any idea's

Its glowing glowing because you don't have the exhaust system fitted, and the heat from the flames cannot dissipate through the piping.

Whack a battery charger on till you get the zorst back on and you should see all return to normal.

Hey,

a) don't do that if you think it's going to catch fire and

b) sure it was _glowing_ red hot and not just smoking/smelling funny?

Most new pipework will come with oils on it and will smell funny/smoke till that's burnt off...
