New Clutch Kit and Brake Pads

Hi All,

My cars clutch is worn and so are the 4 brake pads. I had it serviced and they said they can get the new parts but it will take 2-4 weeks as they will be coming from Japan. They are getting a genuine nissan japan clutch kit and brake pads shipped over.

Is this normal? They said they could fit non genuine parts but would prefer to do the original ones instead if they are avaiable (which they are)

total is about $1100 including fitting and maching of discs

Just wanted to make sure this sounds relitively normal

I think its time to goto another shop

U could get a good organic clutch which will support alot more power for 600, and good brake pads for less than 200 for the front and 150 or so for the back, if not cheaper...

totally agree. your getting so ripped off. 2-4 weeks? thats just wrong.

Not sure if you went to nissan or an independant workshop, but imho you can get better clutches and brake pads in Oz.
