Do a couple of hard launch, then pull over. If you can smell something similar to brakes (assuming you didnt stand on the brakes:)) you probably got slipping clutch.

Basically the engine will be accellerating, but the cars accelleration will be very sedate by comparison. I remember when mine went, I would pull away gently and all would be ok, if I tried to give it too much stick, if felt (and was) alot slower even though the engine revved hard - if you know what I mean.

Another dead giveaway is smoke coming out the front of the car near the back of the front wheels after you have done your launches (well mine did anyway).

Mine slips when I slap third gear, however slapping second causes wheel spin until around 90-95kays where third is.

I've got one of those purple looking pressure plate ones that has 30% more pressure. Its not the best I must say, heats up to quickly and slips, even since day one.

I tell ya what... it must be scary doing 90-95km/h with the back end out of control, I hate it when just doing like 20-30km/h hehe.

Unless I drop the clutch from >1700rpm in 1st gear I can't break traction any other way (or gear). Can't wait to get rid of these 225's and throw on some 255's on the rear it'll be unreal.

Mine did with stock cooler, got a FMIC and it held boost all the way to redline.

Horsepowerinabox have a write up on the stock cooler saying it drops something in the range of 7psi at 6000+rpm, its on the cooler upgrade for R33 pages, worth a look.

If what they say is true, when you are reading 10psi at 7000rpm, your turbo is actually making 17psi as boost is measured at the plenum.  This is probably why its not a good idea to boost over 10psi (or try to) with a stock cooler;)

Is that an article in a book or a web page?

My thing spins at any speed in first gear, as soon as it hits boost it spins. Its due to my tyres. There 255/40/17 but they are hard as, tyres dont feel sticky at all. Need some new ones. Anyone got any cheap?

I've got the same core.

If I set boost above 13psi with the standard turbo I get boost drop with the ebc in manual mode. With the EBC in Auto it will hold boost all the way but it does waver slightly and makes slightly less boost in lower gears, nothing the a manual channel of scamble can't fix though.

With the bleeder I experienced exactly the same. I did notice that after fitting the fmic 3rd gear felt stronger and consistent where as with the stock IC after a few hard gears the heat soak must have set in and power would start to feel flat in the higher gears.
