260rs Buying Tips

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a 260RS, I've been away from Oz for 3 years and I'll be coming back soon and have always wanted a Stagea.

I owned a S15 200sx before leaving.

I'd like to get a 260 and would like to hear any thoughts on things to check to get an authentic 260rs.

Have you seen, heard of dodgy 260's? I did some searching in the forum and read the buying guide already.

just run the VIN through Nissan FAST beforehand, you can PM me the VIN to check if you want when you find. Doubt if there would be any fakes out there, 260s are not that expensive anymore and the cost of faking one would be more than a real one.

Make sure you get the engine checked. Do a compression check and leak down test, esp on a 10+ year old Rb26. Could save you thousands in the long run.

Also, check the VIN to be sure, I know of one black fake with twin sunroofs. . . . . .
